Accessibility
The Town of Kingsville is committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible community where everyone can participate fully in community life. We strive to ensure that Town programs, services, facilities, and information are accessible and welcoming to all residents, visitors, and employees.
Accessibility is an ongoing priority for the Town and is guided by the principles of dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity. Through the Town’s 2040 Accessibility Plan, we are working toward identifying, removing, and preventing barriers, and supporting long‑term accessibility improvements that help build a more inclusive community for the future.
Accessible Election
The Town of Kingsville is committed to ensuring that municipal elections are accessible to all eligible voters. Every voter has the right to participate in the democratic process in a manner that respects dignity, independence, integration, and equal opportunity.
In accordance with section 12.1 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (the “Act”), the Town has prepared an Accessible Election Plan for the upcoming municipal election to help identify and reduce barriers to voting. Following the election, the Act also requires the Town to report on the actions taken to address accessibility and to identify opportunities for improvement for future elections. This legislative framework supports ongoing review and continuous improvement to help ensure an inclusive and accessible voting experience for all members of the community. The post‑election accessibility report will be made available on this website once it has been completed.
Vote at Home Program
The Vote at Home Program is for homebound electors who are unable to physically attend a Voting Place. A Homebound Elector means an elector whose ability to move or function is restricted to the extent that they cannot attend a Voting Place without significant difficulty or support assistance. For example, they may be bedridden due to illness or injury.
Details for the Vote at Home Program 2026 registration period will be shared in the coming weeks.
Feedback
The Town welcomes feedback to identify areas where changes can improve the delivery of an accessible election. The 2026 Municipal Election Accessibility Plan is a living document and will continue to undergo changes. We encourage you to share your feedback on how this plan can be improved.
