Free Speaker and Vendor Event

Kingsville Nature and Garden Show, organized by the Pollinate Kingsville committee, takes place at the Grovedale Arts and Culture Centre, 103 Park Street. 

It will be held on May 2, 2026 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Flowers for Feathered Friends

Gardening to attract birds can be combined with other gardening, but it requires a few specific considerations. It also has benefits to your landscape beyond the joy of birdsong. This talk is for more than just birders, covering concepts such as biodiversity and native plants.

Shaun James is a sustainable landscaping designer who was named “Garden Communicator of the Year” in 2020 and 2021 by Landscape Ontario. Gardening, with a focus on eco-gardening techniques, has been Shaun’s passion and profession for over 40 years.

Sue Novotny is an entomologist by training and a science communicator by career.  She's been building small, pollinator-friendly backyard habitats with native plants for over two decades in Canada, Norway and the United States.
