Volunteer Appreciation Night: Kingsville Awards its Volunteers
As part of National Volunteer Week, the Town of Kingsville held a tropical-themed Volunteer Appreciation Night on April 22, 2026, to celebrate the individuals who contribute to our Town-led events, programs and committees. Over 100 community members were recognized.
Many municipal staff and Council members seized the opportunity to help with this event, from serving tables, to rolling up their sleeves to wash dishes, happy to demonstrate their support and appreciation for this dedicated group. Each volunteer was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation.
“On behalf of Town Council, administration, and all our residents, I want you to know how essential you are to our community’s success. Thank you for your dedication, generosity and everything that you do,” said Mayor Rogers.
Town of Kingsville volunteers contributed over 1,500 hours towards event and program support, up from 1000 in 2025. This impressive total does not even include the hundreds of additional hours volunteers spend serving on a Town committee, nor reflect the time provided by family members and friends who come out to help support the volunteers in their endeavors.
“Our volunteers helped us make events like Kingsville Block Party, Migration Festival and Fantasy of Lights run smoothly,” continued Mayor Rogers. “They assisted with planning, set up, and running events. They took families on Kingsville Express Train rides, helped guide residents and visitors through event itineraries, and served as strong ambassadors of our community.”
The Town also wants to take a moment to acknowledge the contributions of volunteers working through other community groups to make positive impacts in Kingsville. Thank you for everything you do!
