Kingsville Reminds Residents to Stay Cool Amid Health Unit Heat Warning

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued an extended heat warning due to dangerously hot and humid conditions expected throughout the week until Thursday, July 16, 2026. Stay informed with the following resources:

Residents are reminded that the Kingsville Arena is air conditioned and open to anyone looking to cool off during high heat periods.

Hours of operation are for the remainder of the heatwave include:

Tuesday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Wednesday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm

Free Wi-Fi is available.

In addition, the Kingsville, Cottam and Ruthven branches of the Essex County Library invite residents to drop in during their regular opening hours.

Splash Pads:

Our Splash Pads are also a great place for kids to cool down. The Town operates two locations: Lakeside Park, 315 Queen Street, and Ridgeview Park in Cottam, 124 Fox Street. Hours of operation are 9:00 am - 9:00 pm.
