Kingsville Lifts Temporary Fire Ban
Update July 20, 2026:
With the improvements in air quality, the Kingsville Fire Department has lifted the temporary ban on open-air burning. Residents with approved residential or agricultural burn permits may now resume burning activities in accordance with the terms and conditions of their permits.
Due to extremely poor air quality, the Kingsville Fire Department is issuing an immediate fire ban for both agricultural and residential burns in the interest of public safety.
All open-air burning is prohibited until further notice. This measure is in place to help protect public health and reduce additional smoke in the area.
We will continue to monitor conditions and re-evaluate the fire ban when air quality improves.
We appreciate your cooperation during this time.
