2026 Municipal Election – Voter Information Letters
Eligible Town of Kingsville voters are now receiving their Voter Information Letters (VILs) in the mail. These VILs have been "householded", meaning all VILs for a household have been placed in the same envelope. The VIL indicates how many letters are contained in the package.
Please review the name and address on your VIL to ensure the information is accurate and complete. You should also verify your school support designation. Please note that English Public is the default designation unless you have selected otherwise.
If your information is incorrect, or if you receive a VIL for a deceased person, a stranger, or someone no longer living in your household, please take one of the following steps:
Incorrect Information
- Complete the Town's online Application to Amend the Voters' List (EL15(A))
- Visit the Municipal Office during regular business hours to complete an Application to Amend the Voters' List, or
- Attend any Voting Place on Election Day or Advance Voting Days with a piece of identification showing your qualifying address and make the necessary corrections before voting
VIL for a Deceased Person
- Complete the Town's online Application to Remove Deceased Person from the Voters' List (EL15(B))
- Visit the Municipal Office during regular business hours with proof of death to complete an Application to Amend the Voters' List, or
- Attend any Voting Place on Election Day or Advance Voting Days with proof of death to request removal
VIL for a Stranger or a Person No Longer in Your Household
- Call 519-733-2305 and ask to speak to the Clerk's Office
- Email clerks@kingsville.ca with the name of the person and address to which the VIL was sent
- Drop it off at the Municipal Office during business hours
- Drop it off at any Canada Post location
- Shred it
- Bring it to any Voting Place on Election Day or Advance Voting Days and provide it to an Election Official
Did Not Receive a VIL?
Receiving a VIL is not required to vote. Eligible voters can still vote with appropriate identification, even if they did not receive a VIL.
If you are an eligible voter and did not receive a VIL, you can still vote. You may:
- Complete the Town's online Voter Information Inquiry
- Contact the Clerk's Office for assistance
- Visit the Municipal Office during regular business hours to resolve the issue, or
- Bring qualifying identification to any Voting Place on Election Day or Advance Voting Days
