Geographical Information System (GIS)

Kingsville uses a Geographical Information System (GIS) to capture, store, analyze, and display geographical information.

Why is GIS information important?

When we install a new water pipeline for example, it is important to know where the pipe is located. After the water main installation, we map its coordinates; this shows the pipeline's location in the GIS database and allows us to find damaged water mains quickly and safely.
