Learn to Babysit Course Returns for 2026

Kingsville’s Learn to Babysit program returns with multiple training dates throughout 2026. This certified course teaches youth ages 11–15 the essential caregiving and safety skills needed to become confident babysitters.

Course Dates

Friday, Jan 16 – Kingsville Recreation Complex
Friday, Feb 27 – Gosfield Communications Community Centre, Cottam
Friday, Mar 20 – Kingsville Recreation Complex
Friday, Jun 5 – Gosfield Communications Community Centre, Cottam
9:00 am – 3:30 pm
$75 + tax

Participants will learn:

  • Basic first aid and emergency response
  • How to recognize, prevent, and respond to unsafe situations
  • Feeding, diapering, dressing, and play techniques for infants and children
  • Communication and behaviour-management strategies
  • Leadership and decision-making skills

This interactive course provides a strong foundation for youth looking to take on babysitting responsibilities or help care for siblings. Participants must bring their own lunch.
