A new course that teaches the fundamentals of babysitting to ages 11 to 15 is now open for registration. The course will be available in Cottam at the Ridgeview Park Pavilion and in Kingsville at the Kingsville Recreation Complex.

Students will learn how to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and encourage safe behavior, learn how to feed, diaper, dress, and play with infants and children.

This is a great opportunity to learn about child development, including strategies for caring for kids at different stages, build confidence, make good decisions, manage challenging behaviour, and show leadership.

There are sessions in 2025 & 2026 and each session runs from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm:

  • Friday, September 19, 2025 – Kingsville Recreation Complex
