De-mystifying Designation – Kingsville’s Heritage Advisory Committee Hosts Information Event

The Town of Kingsville’s Heritage Advisory Committee is hosting a free information session on Thursday, February 19, 2026, for residents interested in designating their property, those who have already done so and anyone interested in our community’s heritage.

“Heritage designation doesn’t have to feel intimidating or restrictive. This evening is about clarity, transparency, and practical information—helping residents understand what designation really means and how heritage homes can be thoughtfully maintained and updated,” says Kingsville Heritage Advisory Committee Chair, Stacey Jones.

Topics include:

• Debunking myths

• Property values

• Best practices

• Available incentives and resources

Experts in law, insurance, town planning, contracting and restoration will also be on hand to answer questions.  The evening concludes with refreshments and networking.

Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026

Time: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Location: Lakeside Park Pavilion. 315 Queen Street
