At its April 28, 2025 meeting, Council:

Directed Administration to prepare a report regarding the Municipal Accommodation Tax
Approved the Essex County O.P.P. Detachment Board – South’s 2025 Budget, and approved remuneration for Kingsville appointed members and Provincially appointed members
Authorized Administration to develop and implement a Temporary Patio Policy and subsequent Temporary Patio Permit Program and approved associated fees
Approved the Asset Management Plan Update – Core Assets dated March 4, 2025, as prepared by Watson & Associates Economists Ltd.
Approved the tender award of $1,170,000.00, plus HST, to Metalfab Ltd. for the purchase of a new fire engine to replace Engine 122
Approved a pilot test of Algae Forest at the Lakeshore West Wastewater Pollution Control Plant in partnership with the Ontario Clean Water Agency and AlgaFilm Technologies Ltd., to help treat wastewater. Council also approved AlgaFilm Technologies Ltd. to apply for funding from the Green Municipal Fund program to support this test project
