Coming to Cottam: Tween Scene, Mama and Me, Intergenerational Programming, and Other New Programs

Exciting new programs are coming to the new Gosfield Communications Community Centre in Cottam this upcoming Fall season, with some programs open now for registration.
For teens and tweens, a new Learn to Babysitcourse that will teach the fundamentals of caring for children and build their confidence as a babysitter. There will also be a two-hour themed hangout just for tweens, Tween Scene, with a different theme every night.
Mama and Me isa program designed for parents and their little ones! Each week brings something new, from hands-on play, informative guest speakers, snacks, and social time for both littles and their grown up.
New intergenerational programs—including Grands and Kidsand Intergenerational Tea—will connect youth and older adults. They can share stories, create together, and bring their generations closer in a welcoming and fun environment. This new programming is made possible by the Ontario government’s Seniors Community Grant Program (SCGP) which awarded $25,000 to the Town of Kingsville back in August.
In addition, there’s new social programs coming to Cottam including Board Game Café and Puzzles, Cards, and Social. Residents can drop-in and both programs are free.
