A 2040 Vision for Kingsville

The Town of Kingsville adopted its Strategic Plan - a 2040 Vision for Kingsville, at its December 11, 2023 meeting. Working with members of Administration, listening to residents and led through the process by Collier Project Leaders, Council established four priorities to guide decision-making and actions in Kingsville's short, medium and long term future. 

The creation of this plan included: 

• "Imagine Kingsville", an online project page requesting public participation in envisioning our community
• Review of Kingsville's past strategic plans and essential documents
• Analysis of how the municipality has changed
• Interviews with Council and Administration
• Council Workshops
• Public Survey
• Final Council Workshop
• Presentation at Council

Our Four Priorities

A Fiscally Sustainable Community

• Ensure long-term fiscal sustainability through a 10-year capital plan, four-year operating budgets and investments in reserves
• Develop a clear financial plan for the school properties, new municipal buildings and recreation facilities

A Thriving Local Economy

• Create an environment for existing businesses to thrive
• Focus on investment readiness
• Promote increased supply of housing

Happy, Healthy Residents

• Create a community of safe and healthy residents
• Provide accessible, inclusive parks, recreation facilities and public spaces
• Provide high-quality recreation, programming, and events (both Town and Community leads, as appropriate)
• The Town provide excellence in customer service to its residents
• Waterfront

Resilient Infrastructure

• Ensure existing infrastructure is maintained to an appropriate level of service
• Ensure the Town is growing our infrastructure in a sustainable manner and that those who benefit from growth pay for it
• Liaise and advocate for investments by third-party providers to improve existing infrastructure, growth infrastructure and customer service levels

This municipal Strategic Plan is a living, guiding document to help guide decision-making and actions to further long-term objectives for the community.
