So you want to be a Town of Kingsville committee member? Great! Here’s what you should know before beginning the application process. We’re looking for skilled, driven, community motivated members for the next term of council. Greenhouse Policy Review Committee |
This Committee assists with reviewing and updating the current Official Plan and zoning provisions applicable to new greenhouse developments. The committee has 1 council member plus the Mayor, 10 residents and 1 staff member.

By-law Appeal Committee |
This committee is established to hear appeals flowing from administrative decisions made pursuant to certain by-laws in which the by-law provides a right of appeal from that decision. The committee has 5 council members and 2 staff members. Committee Members: |
Nominations to E.L.K. Energy Inc. Board of Directors |
Pursuant to an agreement among the municipalities of Kingsville, Essex and Lakeshore, E.L.K. Energy was formed to provide hydro-electric services to those communities. Kingsville Council will nominate one resident to be considered for appointment to the E.L.K. Board of Directors. The E.L.K. Board will make the final appointment.

Committee of Adjustment/Fence Viewers |
This committee reviews applications for land severances and minor variances to residential and commercial property under the Planning Act. The committee has 2 council members and 3 residents and 2 staff members. They meet monthly to review applications for council approval. Committee Members:

Kingsville Accessibility Advisory Committee |
This committee provides advice and recommendations to Council on town buildings and services to make sure accessibility needs are met under the AODA guidelines. This committee has 1 council member and 4 residents and meet 4 times a year. Committee Members:

Parks, Recreation, Arts and Culture Committee |
This committee provides advice and assistance with the Town's community events and recreation programs. The committee has 3 council members, 3 residents and 2 staff members. This committee meets every month to discuss and plan upcoming events in the Town. Committee Members:

Fantasy of Lights |
This committee provides assistance with the planning and operation of the Fantasy of Lights festival. The committee has 2 members of council 6 residents and 1 staff member. and meet every month to plan the event. Committee Members:

Migration Fest Committee |
This committee plans and operates Kingsville's Migration Festival with the parks and recreation department. This committee has 1 council member, 11 residents and 1 staff member. The meet every month to plan the event. Committee Members:

Communities in Bloom |
This committee organizes the Communities in Bloom Judges' Tour. This contest is held every year and members plan with local business and residents all the natural beauty of Kingsville. This committee has 1 council member, 10 residents and 1 staff member and meet monthly. Committee Members:

Kingsville Tourism and Economic Development Committee |
This committee promotes the Town of Kingsville as a tourist destination while attracting new business to the area. This committee meets monthly to provide advice to Council on economic development and tourism ideas. This committee has 2 council members, five residents and 3 staff members. Committee Members:

Planning Advisory Committee |
This committee provides an opportunity for residents to discuss planning matter such as subdivisions, site plans, zoning amendments and by-laws under the Planning Act. The committee has 2 council members and 3 community members and 2 staff members. The meet a few times a year. Committee Members:

Mettawas Waterfront Park Fundraising Committee |
This committee plans fundraising events for the Mettawas Waterfront development. This committee has 2 council members, 5 residents and 1 staff member. They meet monthly to plan events. Committee Members:

Kingsville Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee |
This committee promotes and protects the heritage properties that are in Kingsville. There are 34 heritage designations within the Town of Kingsville. The committee has 8 residents, 1 researcher, 1 council member and 1 staff member. They meet on a monthly basis. Committee Members:

Kingsville Highland Games |
This committee will help facilitate the 2019 Kingsville Highland Games. The committee has 1 council member, 10 residents, and 4 staff members. They meet on a quarterly basis. Committee Members:

Kingsville Police Services Board |
The Board is responsible for the provision of adequate and effective police services in the municipality in accordance with section 31 of the Police Services Act and to maintain and improve the health, safety and well-being of our residents. The committee has 2 council members, 1 resident appointed by Council, 2 residents appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, and 1 staff member. They meet on a monthly basis. Board Members:

Property Standards Committee |
This committee meets to listen and decide from property owners who are issued a work order to clean up their property under section 15. 3 of the Ontario Building Code. This committee has 2 council members, 3 residents and 1 staff member which meet when an application is submitted. Committee Members:

Joint Animal Control Advisory Committee |
This committee is assist with the Town of Kingsville and the Municipality of Leamington's joint contract for animal control services. This committee has 2 council members from each municipality and two staff members. They meet 4 times a year. Please note that applications are not currently being accepted for this committee. |
Compliance Audit Committee |
This committee deals with matters regarding election campaign finances. The committee has 3 members and meets only when required. Please note that applications are not currently being accepted for this committee. |
The Town of Kingsville will select committee members each new term of council or when a vacancy becomes available.
