Legislative Services |
The Legislative Services Department is the office of the Clerk and Town Solicitor. It is the responsibility of the Clerk to record all resolutions, decisions, and other proceedings of Council. The Legislative Services Department processes information presented to Council and generated by Council including its resolutions, by-laws, agendas and minutes. This department serves as an information centre for Council, administration and the public by managing all records of the Town and processing all requests under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA). This department also administers municipally-owned cemeteries, records all deaths of residents of the municipality, issues marriage licences, lottery licences, kennel licences, dog licences, business licences and certain permits. The Town Solicitor provides legal services to Council and administration by preparing legal opinions, by-laws, agreements and contracts for the Town. The Complaint Policy applies to complaints received from members of the public regarding the dissatisfaction related to a municipal program, service, facility, staff members or volunteers. Kingsville Fire Department |
The Kingsville Fire Department provides emergency response, fire prevention-code enforcement and public fire safety education services to our residents. The department is under the direction of the Fire Chief who is responsible for the administration of the department and the implementation of the policies and directives related to fire protection as determined by municipal council. The Fire Chief reports to the Chief Administrative Officer for the Town of Kingsville. The department operates from two stations-1720 Division Road (south station) and 120 Fox Street (north station). The administrative offices are located at the south station and can be reached by calling 519-733-2314 The Mission Statement for the department is as follows: "The Kingsville Fire Department is committed to protecting life, property and the environment through emergency response, fire prevention-code enforcement and public fire safety education. We will strive to provide the highest level of service to the citizens we protect through continuous improvement, reflecting our pride in and respect for, our community our organization and ourselves." The Department of Information Technology is responsible for maintaining servers and related network infrastructure and applications for all municipal departments at the Town of Kingsville main building and remote locations including the Arena and Fire Hall. Planning Services |
The Town of Kingsville Planning Department provides timely and efficient review and information respecting a broad range of policy planning, land development approval and municipal planning services. The Town of Kingsville Planning Department is committed to a consultative, open and inclusive planning process with recognition of the involvement of residents of the Town, owners of businesses, community members, recreation users, and staff in the planning review process. Through the consultative process, it is the intent of the Planning Department to build awareness of planning while promoting community partnerships, supporting and encouraging the existing community while balancing the needs of the evolving community. The Planning Department addresses and provides a balanced approach to community planning, land use, growth management, environmental and development issues.

Municipal Services |
Municipal Services is a Corporate Division consisting of 3 departments including the Public Works Department, the Parks & Recreation Department and the Environmental Services Department. The Public Works Department and the Parks & Recreation Department are each overseen by a Manager who is responsible for the day-to-day operations. The Director of Municipal Services is responsible for the Environmental Services Department as well as overseeing the other two departments. The Director furthermore oversees all aspects of Municipal Services for the Town including budgeting, policy review and implementation and engineering. The Manager of Municipal Services coordinates the input and review from the three departments as well as overseeing budget control and administration of capital projects spanning more than one of the departments and reports to the Director of Municipal Services. Environmental Services |
The Environmental Services Department is responsible for the maintenance of our water distribution system, sewage collection system and urban storm sewers. The Ontario Clean Water Agency (O.C.W.A.) has been contracted to operate and maintain the Lakeshore West Pollution Control Plant, and Kingsville Waste Water treatment lagoon located in the former Town of Kingsville and the Township of Gosfield North.

Building Department |
The Building Department assists developers, contractors, and the general public interested in obtaining building permits. Prior to granting approval, the inspector reviews plans submitted for Ontario Building Code, Municipal Zoning compliance and other applicable law requirements. It is recommended that applicants first investigate what will be required by them in order to obtain a building permit. Most permits require building plans and a site plan; however, some may also require a copy of your deed, proof of entrance approval, conservation authority approval, septic or water and sewer approval and/ or payment of development fees.
