Rates
The Town reviews and updates water and wastewater rates on an annual basis to ensure the long-term sustainability of these systems. Rate decisions are based on a Water and Wastewater Rate Study as well as the Water System Financial Plan required under Ontario Regulation 453/07.
The Town's water and wastewater rates are summarized below (fees effective March 1, 2022). Please refer to the Water and Wastewater Rate By-law for full details.

All properties with a water service connection pay a fixed Quarterly Capital charge of $33.81 per 3-month billing period plus the consumption rates noted above.
*Effective January 1, 2024 Union Water is a separate entity and therefore, the Town of Kingsville billing a pass through rate to the end user customer. That being said, the wholesale water rate is then no longer included in the Town of Kingsville bylaw.
The Wholesale rate reflects the amount the Town pays to Union Water for the supply of the water.
The Distribution rate finances the operating and administrative costs associated with maintaining the Town's distribution network.
The fixed Quarterly Capital charge finances the replacement of water mains and other capital expenditures.
The same rates apply to all property types, whether residential, commercial, industrial or agricultural.
