Kingsville offers commemorative programs to help you remember and honour your loved ones. Consider purchasing a memorial tree or bench to pay tribute to someone's memory, celebrate a birth, or acknowledge an important event. See our Commemorative Program fees.
Memorial Trees
This program includes a commemorative message on an engraved bronze plaque 6 inches wide by 4 inches high. The type of tree is subject to availability in conjunction with the annual tree-planting program.
Memorial Benches
This program includes the installation of a bench with a commemorative message on an engraved bronze plaque.
Naming / Dedicating Municipal Property
Kingsville has a policy to provide general guidelines and a consistent process for the naming/re-naming or dedicating municipal property, buildings and park elements. Five situations may initiate a naming, re-naming or dedication request. They are:
- An opening or re-opening of a building, which may require donations
- A civic recognition
- International, national or provincial events/competitions
- New park development
- Corporate sponsorship
Submissions must meet specific requirements and include the following:
- Background information concerning the rationale for consideration of the request;
- Biographical information if named after an organization (or an individual)
- Documentation including letters from organizations and individuals providing substantial support for the request.
