The Town of Kingsville has programs that provide financial aid for families with children in sports and programs.
Recreation Assistance Program
Pathway to Potential is a strategy that aims to provide families and children in Windsor-Essex with opportunities to participate in their communities and to reach their full potential. It's funded by the City of Windsor and County of Essex. The Recreation Assistance Program, part of P2P, provides funding to support residents in Kingsville (Youth under 18 and Seniors over 60), who otherwise could not access recreation opportunities. Kingsville Recreation Fund
The Kingsville Recreation Fund provides assistance to those who do not qualify for the P2P discount program but are struggling to afford recreation fees. It was created with fundraising dollars raised during the Mayor's Spotlight on Business Golf Tournament. Eligible applicants can receive a 50% discount for qualifying recreational programs. Eligible applicants must be a resident of Kingsville and under the age of 18. Please contact 519-733-2123 or email programs@kingsville.ca for details.

Funding eligibility is determined based on the size of your family unit and your family unit's annual income using Statistics Canada's Low Income Cut-Off charts.
*Youth (under 18) and seniors (over 60) can receive financial support from Recreation Access Program. **Youth (under 18) can receive financial support from Kingsville Recreation Access Program.

How can I use this money? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Funding supports recreation and leisure group programs with not-for-profit organizations and approved businesses; the program does not fund individual lessons or travel sports. Subsidies will not be provided to programs which are similar to programs offered by the Town of Kingsville Parks and Recreation Department. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
How much funding can I receive? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Each person can receive up to $600 per year, based on available funds. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Does this cost me? | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
Yes, though the amount depends on the program you are eligible for.
For the Recreation Access Program, you are responsible for 10% of the cost of the program.
For the Kingsville Recreation Fund, you are responsible for 50% of the cost of the program.
The amount owing by the user will be given to the organization directly. However, please first confirm you have access to the funding before providing your due portion. |

Canadian Tire Jumpstart
You can also apply for Jumpstart if your child is between 4-18 years old. It can help you with registration, equipment and travel fees for a sport or program. To learn more on how to apply, call 1-844-937-7529 or visit the Jumpstart website.
