Day Camps and PA Days

Please label all items brought to camp with your child's name so we can properly organize and reunite them with your child.

• Backpack with lunch, snacks, refillable water bottle
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Running shoes/closed-toe shoes
• Hat/sunglasses (dependent on camp type)
• Bathing suit and towel (dependent on camp type)
• Bag for wet swim items (dependent on camp type)
• Sunscreen and bug spray (dependent on camp type)

NO electronics, toys, money, or any valuables that may get lost

We expect campers to follow our behaviour guidelines to create a safe space for other campers, volunteers, and staff. Our staff will be positive role models and understand the age and stage of the camper when addressing behaviour. 

Behaviour Guidelines

• We are kind to ourselves and those around us
• We are honest in our interactions 
• We are responsible for our actions
• We never leave the camp without permission
• We never steal or damage property intentionally
• We refrain from using profanity, being vulgar or obscene

If your camper is unable to adhere to the behaviour guidelines, our staff will: 

1. Redirect the camper to more appropriate behaviour and remind them of the behaviour guidelines. If behaviour persists:
2. Notify the caregiver to discuss strategies to support the camper. If the behaviour persists:
3. Schedule a meeting that includes the caregiver, staff, and Manager to determine the next steps, up to and including suspending the child from the program until the caregiver can provide additional support for their child.

If at any time a child's behaviour poses an immediate safety threat to themselves, other children, or staff, we will promptly contact the parent or caregiver to pick up the child immediately. 

 Campers must also be: 

• Fully potty trained
• Able to self-regulate their emotions and behaviour with minimal support

If your child needs more support than our staff are trained to provide, we will contact you to determine if they can continue at camp. If we remove your child from camp, you will receive a reimbursement for the camp days they do not attend. 

• Incident reports are completed if an injury or serious incident occurs
• Staff will notify you immediately if emergency medical attention is required or a severe injury occurs
• Staff will update parents on any minor/non-critical injuries or incidents that occur during the day

• Campers must not attend camp if they are feeling ill.
• The health and safety of every camper is always our top priority. If a camper becomes ill while participating in any programs, we will take appropriate action and contact the children's parents, caregivers or legal guardians. 

The Town prefers you administer all medications at home before arriving at camp. However, if medication is brought to camp, it must be contained in the prescribed container with physician and dosage information and shall be administered by the participant. 

Parents/guardians must sign in medications each morning with our staff. They must also sign out medications at pick-up time each evening and take them home.

Please note that our staff are not permitted to administer any medication to participants unless it is epinephrine (Epi-Pen) for an emergency anaphylaxis. 

• We may take photographs of the campers for marketing purposes. Photos are only taken by authorized personnel. 
• If you do not want your child photographed, please let us know when you register, and we will add a note to their profile.

We offer hot lunches for campers on MONDAYS and FRIDAYS during summer camp for $10.00+HST per lunch. You must purchase lunches at registration or five business days in advance.

Please tell your child to refrain from sharing or accepting food from other campers.

Please send your child to camp with enough snacks for two snack breaks (morning and afternoon), lunch, drinks and water. If your child receives a lunch purchased through our hot lunch offerings (Monday and Friday only), you must still send your child with snacks and beverages for the rest of the day.

Children must come with a lunch each day or have a pre-purchased lunch. 

 Please pack a bathing suit daily, as we play water games and use the splash pad. 

Changing for Swims

• Our Program Leaders are unable to assist in changing campers. Campers must be able to change themselves independently to participate in water activities. 

Changing Rooms

• Our staff provide changing room supervision. Stalls are available but limited. All children must use their appropriate changing room. 

Splash Pad

• Every WEDNESDAY, summer camp is at Lakeside Park. Drop-off and pick-up will also be at this location on Wednesdays.
• Campers may enjoy the splash pad, weather permitting. If your child does not wish to participate, they can sit at a designated area until splash pad time is over.
• Please pack a bathing suit and towel daily, as we may take advantage of other water games throughout the week.
