Social Committee Parade Float
Members of the Town's Social Committee work on assembling the Town of Kingsville float

The 18th Annual Santa Claus Parade is this Saturday, November 20, 2021. Jasperson Drive will close at 4:00 pm to allow for parade staging, and sections of Main Street East, Division Street South and Park Street will close at 5:30 pm. All connecting side streets along the route will be barricaded. Please see the parade route map on our website.

Dave Hunt, Kevin Black and Steve I’Anson from That Kingsville Podcast will be on the balcony of the Grove announcing each entry as it passes. Many groups and organizations are accepting donations as they walk the parade line.

  • Rotary Club of Kingsville Southshore will collect donations of socks, mittens, hygiene products, diapers etc., for their Socks & Bottoms Campaign in support of local shelters and agencies.
  • Canada Post is accepting Letters to Santa.
  • The Kingsville Community Food Bank is accepting non-perishable food donations in grocery carts borrowed from Zehrs.

“Our entire community has pulled together to create a parade that is distinctly Kingsville,” said Fantasy of Lights Chair and Councillor Tony Gaffan. “We want to thank everyone; our staff, volunteers, community groups, and just everyone who has pulled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly to make this a magical night for our kids and our Town. We are truly astounded by the response and excited to see it all come together on Saturday.”

After the parade, everyone is invited to meet at Lakeside Park for the 29th Annual Fantasy of Lights Opening Ceremonies. Enjoy hot chocolate, Christmas carolling, and the official flick of the switch to light the displays. Fireworks will follow.

The Fantasy of Lights Festival continues until January 5, 2022, with many activities planned.  Visit www.fantasyoflights.ca for complete details.
