The CiB Judges are Coming to the Town of Kingsville

Posted On Thursday July 14, 2022

The Town of Kingsville is participating in the 28th Edition of Communities in Bloom (CiB) in the Class of Champions Medium category. We will be rated from 1 to 5 Blooms, based on the scoring obtained. We will also aim to obtain Bronze, Silver or Gold levels in our 5-Bloom rating.

Kingsville's CiB judges are Martin Quinn and Ray Hurd from Goderich Ontario. They will evaluate the Town on July 19, 20, and 21, 2022. We would like to remind all businesses and residents to tidy up their property before the judges arrive.

The National and International results will be announced in Victoria, British Columbia from October 20 to 23, 2022, during the National Symposium on Parks & Grounds and the National & International Awards celebrating "Year of the Garden. This is the first in-person Symposium by CiB since 2019, following two years of virtual awards ceremonies, virtual judging consultations and virtual webinars.

Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit volunteer and partnership-driven organization that uses a multi-tiered competitive evaluation process to foster community strength, involvement, and continuous improvement. This is accomplished by nurturing environmental sustainability, enhancements of green spaces, and heritage conservation in cultural and natural environments encompassing municipal, residential, commercial, and institutional spaces.

CiB's vision is to inspire all communities to enhance the quality of life and our environment through people and plants to create community pride. “Growing Great Places Together” is their slogan, and it captures the essence of the program.

All those involved in the Communities in Bloom program can be proud of their efforts, benefitting all of society by providing real and meaningful ways to mitigate climate change. Thanks to all the photographers who contributed images for our 2022 Community Profile. We appreciate your help in showcasing our beautiful Town.
