Highway 3 Widening Project Update
Upcoming Planned Closure from November 26, 2024 to December 13, 2024
We have been notified that South Talbot Road will be closed between Essex Road 27 and Marsh Road for approximately 3 weeks. This closure is required for a culvert replacement along the 8th Concession Drain. There will be no impact to Highway 3 traffic. Road Closure for County Road 29 and Road 5 Culvert Replacements

Starting November 11, 2024, the intersection of County Road 29 and Road 5 will be closed from all directions for approximately 6 to 8 weeks (weather dependent). This project is a collaborative effort between the Town and the County of Essex to replace two culverts. No traffic will be permitted through the intersection. A detour route around the working area will be signed. Drivers should plan a different route or follow signage to navigate around the work area.
New Right-Hand Turning Lane Being Added Tonight on Main Street East

A contractor will be repainting the lines for the new right-hand turning lane on Main Street East. Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM tonight. OPP will be onsite to direct traffic while the work is completed. Motorists should use caution when driving though the work zone.

Paving Work Begins at Mettawas Park

The Town of Kingsville is preparing to pave the parking lot at Mettawas Park. The contractor is installing fencing and will begin work next week.
As a result, the parking lot will be closed to the public starting this Friday, April 19, 2024, and will remain closed until the project is completed in early June (weather permitting).
Please refrain from approaching the work area, and thank you for your patience.
Kingsville Adding Westbound Right Hand Turning Lane at Main and Jasperson

The Town of Kingsville is beginning a new project to improve traffic and active transportation downtown.
One of the project's main elements is the installation of a new westbound right-hand turn lane on Main at Jasperson.
