Lawn Watering ByLaw - Annual Reminder

Union Water Supply System (UWSS) serves Kingsville, Leamington, Essex and Lakeshore. Kingsville has a Lawn Watering Bylaw to assist the water treatment plant with reducing peak demands on hot days that helps everyone share water resources without putting unnecessary strain on the system.
Watering your lawn or garden is based on your house number. Odd-number addresses can water on odd calendar days, and even-number addresses can water on even calendar days. You can water from 5:00 am to 8:00 am...

At its March 17, 2025 meeting, Council:

Approved zoning changes for the property at 197 Lansdowne Avenue, shifting it from “Industrial” to “Commercial.” Council also updated the Zoning By-law to allow for fewer parking spaces (42) and to exempt trucks and trailers from needing a paved area for turning.
