Kingsville is located in Essex County on the northern shore of Lake Erie and is one of Canada’s most southerly located towns, rich with Victorian Heritage.
Visitors come from all over, arriving by the Pelee Island Ferry or the highway. Visitors to the Kingsville area will soon discover what a wonderful place it is to spend the day or even a week. History buffs will enjoy a walking tour down tree-lined streets viewing some of the original Victorian Style homes with large verandas. Some of these historic homes have now been converted into bed and breakfasts, each offering a unique experience meant to pamper and charm the soul. Specialty shops and boutiques throughout the municipality feature everything from antiques to unique creations offered up by local artisans. Be sure to stop at one of the many roadside stands for some home grown fruits and vegetables.
There’s a whole lot of activity waiting for you in Kingsville all year round. In the warmer months you can walk, hike, bike, golf, visit numerous parks, beaches and natural areas to look for rare birds, and witness the migration of thousands of geese, ducks, raptors, songbirds, and butterflies. Swim, fish, or relax in a boat, on the beautiful blue waters of Lake Erie. Set sail for a fishing adventure or scuba dive down to several ship wrecks with one of our local boat charter services. Picnic or dine in, and shop till you drop.
Take a relaxing boat cruise aboard the M.V.Jiimaan or M.V. Pelee Islander to nearby Pelee Island. As you leave the mainland behind the silhouette of Pelee Island becomes visible on the horizon. Catch a glimpse of lake freighters, fishing boats, and sailboats as the ferry makes its way across the lake. Daily ferry service from Kingsville is offered to Pelee Island from August first through Labour Day. Ferry service to Pelee Island is also offered from nearby Leamington during other months of the year.

Take a walk through Lakeside Park and enjoy the beautiful Victorian Style Gardens. Stay and have lunch in one of our gazebos while your children enjoy the play equipment and sandy beaches offered on the north shore of Lake Erie. The newly opened Chrysler Greenway" is a 44 km off-road recreational trail, which runs through Kingsville and ends at Colasanti’s Tropical Gardens and can be enjoyed by all family members for walking, biking or bird watching.
