Taxi Licences

As per By-law 128-2004, the Municipality has the power to licence, regulate and govern Taxi Cab brokers and owners, Limousine owners and drivers of motor vehicles used for hire, and for limiting the number of Taxi Cab owner/broker licences.

Licences are required to be renewed every year. Each applicant is to complete a new application at the beginning of each calendar year with all the supporting documents for processing as set out in Section 6 of the By-law.

Refreshment Vehicles

As per By-law 90-2004, the Municipality has the power to licence owners, operators and assistants with vehicles from which refreshments are sold for consumption by the public.

The annual licence fee for a Non-Motorized Refreshment Vehicle is $ 250.00 and every other vehicle must be licensed separately.

Every person who is in breach of any provisions of the by-laws is guilty of an offence and upon conviction shall be liable to a fine in the amount to be determined pursuant to the provisions of the Provincial Offences Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.33, as amended.
