Migration Hall was created with the generous support of the Communities of Kingsville, and former Gosfield South and the Greater Essex County Board of Education and was one of the first multi-use facilities built in the province. Migration Hall is located at 170 Main Street East, Kingsville (right beside Kingsville District High School).
Migration Hall offers 7100 square feet of useable top quality hardwood floor space, theatre seating for 1,000 (670 tiered retractable and 330 floor), a 44' x 31' stage with two dressing rooms, and 8' x 10' loading dock, a professional light and sound system, an 840 square foot multipurpose room, full kitchen facilities, coat check, a computerized ticket outlet, audio/visual equipment is available on request and plenty of free parking.
Migration Hall is run by community volunteers and operates as a non profit group. The hall has hosted the Nylons, the Waltons, the Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Dan Hill, Cassandra Vasik, Burton Cummings, and Patricia Conroy as well a number of "live theatre" performances including the National Touring Company, The Second City and Forever Plaid. Other Canadian performers to grace our stage include Ashley MacIssac, Rita MacNeil, Stompin Tom Connors, Colin James, Spirit of the West, Don Harron and Michael Burgess. Family Entertainment has been a big hit with Fred Penner, Mr. Dressup, Eric Nagler, and The Join Hand Puppeteers. Migration Hall has also hosted Blood Donor Clinics, seminars, workshops, Church Conferences, many Annual Sporting Tournaments, and the K.D.H.S. Fashion Show, Prom and Area Graduations. The newest performers to the Migration Hall Stage include the Kingsville Repertory Players, a community based local theatre group for all ages.
