Chief Administrative Officer - Dan DiGiovanni

Greetings Everyone,

The duties of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) are to exercise general control and management of the affairs of the municipality for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operations of the municipality and their departments. The CAO reports directly to the Mayor and Town Council.

To provide you with an idea of how the administrative organizational structure currently operates in the Town of Kingsville I have provided below the directors and managers of the five core departments.

1)   The Director of Financial Services - Ms. Sandra Ingratta is responsible for the Financial Department and Information Technology Services.

2)   The Director of Corporate Services/Clerk - Ms. Ruth Orton-Pert is responsible for Council legal services, agendas and minutes, bylaws, licensing, animal control and Planning.

3)   The Director of Municipal Services - Mr. Andrew Plancke is responsible for Environmental Services (sewage and water), Public Works Department, Parks and Recreation Department and municipal drains.

4)   Fire and Emergency Services - Chief Bob Kissner is responsible for providing both fire and emergency protection services, including the general management of the North Fire Station and South Fire Station.

5)   Chief Building Official - Mr. Michael Arthur is responsible for issuing all building permits and property standards bylaw enforcement issues.

In the spring of 2010 both Council and municipal staff finalized our corporate mission statement and we are proud to share and continue to follow the guiding principles contained in this statement to ensure that the Town of Kingsville remains a healthy and  vibrant community.

“On the beautiful shores of Lake Erie, advantageously situated close to the international border and major urban centre, Kingsville, one of Canada’s southernmost towns, enjoys an ideal growing climate and benefits from a diverse technology-based agricultural economy, natural eco-tourism and opportunities for all ages.

To make Kingsville a desirable place to live, prosper and visit we invest to improve our quality of life and value our heritage in a way which will ensure our small-town, friendly atmosphere while being committed to growth, renewal and enhancing our environmental sustainability."

I would further encourage you to review our annual Performance Measures Report or annual municipal budget for the Town of Kingsville and welcome any questions or suggestions. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or fax listed below:
