Located on the North Shore of Lake Erie in the Town of Kingsville, the Mettawas Park plays a particularly significant role in Kingsville’s rich history. Much of the property was once owned by Hiram Walker and Sons (1891) and was the location of a grand hotel known as the Mettawas Hotel that stood majestically along the shore beckoning residents and visitors to Kingsville’s lakefront. While the hotel no longer stands, the Mettawas name lives on in the planned $3.5M waterfront redevelopment project currently being undertaken by the Town of Kingsville.
This prime beach front property is a true asset to the Kingsville community and to ensure its enjoyment by all the Town has planned a large scale redevelopment project which will transform this area into a recreational landmark. Accessible amenities such as a splash park, pavilion, playground, walking trails, green space and gardens will make this development a family friendly, environmentally sustainable location for residents and guests alike to enjoy for generations to come.
